Ever since u were 38 weeks old in mommy's tummy, doctor has been doing membrane sweeping on mommy's cervix.. I think I have mentioned this on my previous post. Then last week, I went to see doctor again n doctor says mommy not even dilate yet.. But my cervix has started to thin out.. So on 30th April, mommy went to see doctor again for the weekly check up so see whether you are ready to be out yet. And doctor also did membrane sweep n he tried to n manage to open my cervix for one miserable centimeter. Doctor says come in on 2nd May (since 1st May is a public holiday) to have you born by inducing with prostaglandins pill inserted into my cervix. After he did that, mommy has been having irregular contractions throughout the day.. At first, I didn't know that is The contraction. I still went to Gurney Plaza for a walk, had desserts n even ice cream! At night, I went for Japanese dinner with my parents as like the last few good meal before I go into labor. Then at night after dinner, the contractions got stronger.. It was right after I showered at home that I realized this is The contraction! It comes n go quite frequent. At about 1 plus am, I'm feeling it. But I didn't want to tell daddy about it cause I thought it might go away n I thought maybe it's bcos that morning doctor did a sweep for me that's y I'm feeling like this. Then I couldn't sleep so I start to time the contraction and I was having contraction for every 7 mins interval n each time the pain lasted for a minute. I had that the whole night! Tried to sleep but I couldn't so I started to do things to get ready for labor. Like boil water, pack up more n luckily I was already packing when I came back from dinner. Finally couldn't stand it so I sms the doctor n told him my symptoms. He then gave me a missed call at about 8.10am so I called doctor back. Then doctor asked me to come in at 9am to his clinic. Then I woke daddy up n told him about my pain n it's time! When we reach doctor's place, he did a sweep for me again.. Omg, I am starting to hate the membrane sweep.. It's very painful n uncomfortable. Then he said my cervix is still at 1cm n after he did the sweep, my cervix managed a total 2cm. He said my type of labor is called long latent phase labor. Sounds difficult.. He then gave me a choice to either straight induce on 1st May or he asked me to stand the pain until the next day on 2nd May only give birth..
Then I decided to go ahead n give birth on 1st May itself.. I then reached hospital at about almost 10am after the doctor has finish checking on me. Then I was in frequent pain like every 5 mins to 2 mins window.. Finally couldn't stand it n texted the doctor to ask if it's normal that the pain is so frequent.. Then doctor finally asked a nurse to come being me down to the labor room at about close to 1pm. I was asked to change n I wait for doctor while he was delivering another baby.. Then he came to attend to me close to 2pm n did the sweep again! N this time he tried so hard n managed a 3cm! Miserable man.. n this time the sweep he did was so much more painful! Then he told me while I was heavily sedated with gas that I could finally deliver my baby at about 5 plus pm.. When I heard that, I felt like dying! Not now? Gotta wait in pain somemore? I was so drowsy n in so much pain that I didn't know wat I was doing or saying the whole time from 2pm up till the time u were born! After 3pm, I was in so much pain that I kept crying n moaning n kept crying n I didn't know wat I was talking about. I only knew nurses came to attend to me many times asking me to keep quiet n don't yell n moan to save my energy for pushing later on. I couldn't help myself at all.. Each time when the pain comes, I will yell n moan.. N I think that is like almost every minute! Daddy was waiting for mommy outside the labor room the whole time. My screams got louder at 4pm.. N I felt like I was ready to push n even felt like pass motion after 4pm.. But nurse didn't allow me to do so as doctor haven't arrive.. At that point, I felt like dying.. I just wanted you out there n then! And then all the research n reading that I have been doing on how to breath n relax, all got thrown out the window.. I couldn't even care if my bottom split or wat.. I just wanted you out in any possible way! But doctor had to do episiotomy on me because I wasn't cooperative n listening to orders.. He had to or else I will have a bigger tear at my bottom. So no choice lo.. I didn't care at that point anyways.. Hehehe.. When doctor came, I think he came like less than half an hour only n u came out already after like doctor ask me to push.. I think I did only 2 pushes and u r out! When u came out, it's like all of a sudden.. Then u were 'plop' on my tummy.. I felt your body heat rested on my tummy... That was when i felt a huge relieve... You came out at five thirty something n weighted 3.4kg.. :) u looked so adorable n seriously cuter than I had expected you to be.. Hehehe.. Bcos mommy n daddy was an ugly baby when we were young.. So I didn't expect u to look this cute n adorable lo.. I guess that's all of the story of how you were born..
As of today, 2nd May, mommy's breast milk haven't arrive.. So u r still suckling to stimulate it out.. N I must say, u r very smart n clever to latch on for a new born.. U managed it immediately.. But mummy is still a little lost of how to do it correctly.. Will see how when the milk comes in.. Each time when u r not with me, mommy misses u.. I just always look forward to feeding u n seeing u.. Love u so much my baby! I have been wondering, how could some mum dont love their baby after all the pregnancy pain n labor pains she has already gone through for a baby? I have already loved u the moment I knew I was going to have u n when I see u, I love u even more n cannot help but keep on thinking u r like the best babies among all the babies there.. :) I love you.. Will update here again next time when I have time.. Now, gonna try to be a good mum to u..

This picture was taken right after u were born... Nurse took you out a while to do some test on you to see that u r healthy n ok then she bring u back to mommy to start breast feed you right away.. And you were a smart little baby, u knew how to latch on the breast immediately!
